Staying on task is a problem for some who start home businesses. I talked about schedules last time but didn't specify a written schedule. You are boss now. Make a schedule and stick to it. If it isn't possible then it isn't possible but at least with a written schedule you can see and evaluate what worked and what didn't work over a period of time and change your schedule.
For instance it is a beautifully sunny day here now. In another hour I am going to go upstairs and sit in the sun, inside as it is below 0 degrees F outside. I plan this everyday at this time of the year as the sun comes into the house just right, weather permitting. At that time I stop my writing or talking to people and go sit in the sun for an hour plus until it goes down. Not a problem because I have planned to do it. Then I come back refreshed and warm to do my work.
Do something that works for you. As an old fellow I know I MUST get up and move for a few minutes every hour or so. Not a problem now as I have to get up to adjust the wood stove that keeps me moving on cold days. I do still work full time. I remember this advice there too. Every hour or so I get up and walk around or do a few small exercised to get the body moving, get the head thinking again.
Another tip is to move your eyes regularly from your computer screen and focus on different distances, glasses if necessary but change your distance that you are looking as far as possible, across the street, up the valley, across the bay, at least to the other side of the room. Do this regularly and it will help you work more efficiently.

Another thing to think about is how are businesses can help us and our whole family. Think about how you are working from home. Many of us get lost, and never find financial freedom because we defeat our selves. Think about how you work see if you can do it better. What makes you money. Do more of it.

How to work from home is very much like working from the office, the shop or the factory. You get up in the morning and you work. Concentrate on what makes you money.
Simple thing to say but I have seen people who worked successfully for someone else begin their own business and loose all direction. Those who as they say in the education BIZ, can't stay on task, should probably make a list of things they must do everyday. Stay away from counting your envelopes and stamps. If you need to call people and don't enjoy it, get that out of the way as quickly as possible.
If writing your blog, or autoresponder letters, are what you need to do most get at that right away. Seeing as you are now working from home means that you need a schedule, you need to decide when you are working so you will not be disturbed and the rest of the family if they are home know that you will be finished and free for them at say, 11am to 1pm. It is your business, you make the rules.

I hear that "nothing is working for me." I want to start a home based business but how to start a home business. I need starting a work from home business ideas and support.
Contacts tell me they they have tried several business models and even more ways of promoting their business. They complain this isn't working, that isn't working. Seems that they want to complain about their lives and their problems and yet when you suggest they look at what you are doing it seems like too much work. I still think of all the ads on the web that indicate that they pay something and someone else will do your marketing, someone else will answer the phone, someone else will do everything except go to the bank. Now understand each one of these things isn't wrong.
